Jena Malone is a Hollywood actress best known for her roles in "Into the Wild", "The Go-Getter" and "The Ruins".

Malone made the jump to professional acting with the 1996 film "Bastard Out of Carolina". She was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Debut Performance and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance in a TV Movie or Miniseries for this role. From there, her roles grew in stature, including several Hollywood features.

In 1997, she was nominated for a Golden Globe, Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie, for her role in Hope.

After several years of being homeschooled, she briefly attended the Professional Children's School in New York, but did not last long. In January 2000, Malone won legal emancipation from her mother, barring her from interfering with her career and earnings; Malone has said that her mother "mismanaged" some of her earnings.

Malone was a co-producer for the 2002 film American Girl, a drama which she also acted in. She was due to feature in the film Vinyl, but had to withdraw due to filming conflicts, and was replaced by Michelle Trachtenberg. She had her first starring role in the 2004 film Saved!. In 2006, she made her professional stage debut in the Broadway production of the Tony Award winning play Doubt.

There are some gals who can pull just about anything off on the red carpet. We think actress Jena Malone could be one of them with her cute haircut and fabulous smile - and we were loving this look that she wore to the premiere of The Soloist last night until when we saw it - that is till we scrolled the page past her knees. This look totally looks fab on the runway, but we're not sure if it makes the grade here. Weigh in below. Online Surveys & Market Research Read Full Story

Is Jena Malone dressing under the influence? Jena, varicose veins got you down? We hope the knee-highs are helping your circulation. What they are not helping is your sex appeal. Plus, the little-boy haircut is disconcerting with the bare mini. We channel grandmothers everywhere when we say, "Honey, do you want dates or not?" Vote haute or not in mystyle's Fashion DUI gallery  now! Read Full Story

ACTRESS Jena Malone has stepped out of The Ruins and into Watchmen director Zack Snyder's $100million female action flick Sucker Punch! Malone, 24 (pictured), whose other credits include Donnie Darko, Pride & Prejudice and Into the Wild, replaces Evan Rachel Wood while Jamie Chung (Dragonball Evolution) replaces Emma Stone. Both had dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. A month earlier Amanda Seyfried left for the same reasons and was replaced by Emily Browning. Also cast in the film - at present anyway - are Abbie Cornish and Zac Efron's girlfriend and fellow High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens. The film is set for release ... Read Full Story

There's a thin line between daring and detestable, and Jena Malone seems to skirt that line fairly often.  I admire her for dipping into some looks I haven't seen since 1988 (SHOULDER PADS, anyone?), but I wonder if she's trying a little too hard to appear the "artsy, quirky girl" she so often plays. This is Jena at the premiere of The Go-Getter (I hadn't heard of it, either).  I actually really love this look.  She's softened up her dark bob with a few loose curls--sweet--and the soft orange/black combination of her dress works beautifully with her skin (which is gorgeous, too). Here's Jena ... Read Full Story
