Jennifer Carpenter, born December 7th, 1979, is an American actress. Born and raised in Kentucky, Jennifer moved to New York after high school to attend the Juilliard School. Before she landed the role of Debra Morgan, Dexter Morgan's sister on Showtime's Dexter, she was best recognized as possession victim Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

"Dexter" star Jennifer Carpenter is hopping on to the cast of the film 'Hungry Rabbit Jumps,' an indie thriller. According to Variety , she will be joining a lineup that already features Nicolas Cage , Guy Pearce , and January Jones . In the film, a teacher (Cage) takes the law into his own hands by joining a vigilante organization after his musician wife (Jones) falls victim to a brutal crime.
