Gavin Newsom's Wife On Threesome Sex Scene: 'I Just Went for It'

The First Lady of San Francisco stars in a romantic comedy opening Friday that will give audiences an eyeful of the SF mayor's new wife.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom strips down for a very racy threesome sex scene, leaving little to the imagination, in The Trouble With Romance. The film gets a limited release this weekend, but it's already available through some retailers on demand. Jennifer spoke with FoxNews.com, joking that hubby Gavin will have to approve all her scripts from now on.

"It’s always a little awkward (filming intimate scenes) but I’m a dancer and an athlete so I have a more tomboy figure so I just went for it. The film was a challenge, but fun."

The whole thing is sort of a non-scandal for Gavin, who is no stranger to real scandal, so it must be sort of a relief.

The film's director, Gene Rhee, seems like he's enjoying the publicity the whole thing is getting.

"It is going to cause quite a stir as people aren’t used to seeing a political figure like this," he told FoxNews.com. "But I just hope people judge her (Jennifer) for her amazing performance not for her political associations."

Rhee did an interview with the Center for Asian American Media (second video posted below), explaining that the actors were very professional, despite the fact that they were filming in a sweltering San Francisco warehouse.

"We built a set of the interior of a hotel in this werehouse downtown because we couldn't afford a soundstage," Rhee said. "Plus we were shooting this movie in the summertime in this werehouse. So it's like 110 degrees and the actors are supposed to be in this luxury hotel, where they're supposed to be comfortable. But what ends up happening is that on the set they're all sweating to death and we're all dying. Fortunately you can't see that in the film."

Wow. Sounds hot. Speaking of hot. I do have to point out though that there seems to be a lot of sweating in the trailer (see below).
