The rookie has been quite the pick-me-up with the St. Louis Rams, a team desperate for pass catchers all year. So desperate that Gibson was Marc Bulger's primary target last week, making his first seven career receptions for 93 yards.

The St. Louis Rams have signed wide receiver Jordan Kent to replace Keenan Burton, the receiver lost for the season to a knee injury. Burton hurt his right knee in Sunday's 28-23 loss to New Orleans. Kent is 6-foot-4 and spent training camp with Seattle. He was waived on Sept. 5. He was a sixth-round draft pick of the Seahawks in 2007 and split time between the practice squad and active roster.
