Rev. Jeremiah Wright attend an Annual Ministers Conference this week and well lets say he had some things to get off his chest.

President Barack Obama's longtime minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, gave an assessment Thursday of his former parishioner's short time in the White House: Obama is just like any other president. "He's like any other president," Wright said. "He's a politician and he's got to do what politicians do... Read Full Story

Laura Meckler wrote yesterday evening, September 19, 2008, in the Wall Street Journal:
Don’t be shocked if you see the McCain campaign pull the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright out of mothballs in new attacks against one-time parishioner, Barack Obama.
McCain advisers say that they see “attack by association” as fair game now, arguing that Obama’s campaign has been using that technique to go after McCain. In particular, the Obama campaign has hammered McCain on the stump and in TV ads... Read Full Story
Caveat lector: While I do understand that the channeling of a living person is not possible - even as I do not subscribe to the notion of channeling at all - at the time of this writing I was lacking for a better word. Somehow, "parroting" just didn't seem to make the grade. For anyone who has trouble understanding the message from Jeremiah Wright through the screaming, rasping delivery he employs, help is here. While Obama has claimed that he was not aware of some of the more radical views... Read Full Story
I was going to discuss Chapters 2 and 3 of the book, respectively entitled "My House, Too" and "Faith Fit for the Age." It turns out, though, that I had way too much to say about Chapter 2. Chapter 3 will have to wait. Much has been made of Mansfield's even-handed, neutral, objective examination of Obama's faith in the book. Much has been made to emphasize that Mansfield is a Republican, holds a far more right-leaning theology than does Obama, but that he has nevertheless written a "balanced... Read Full Story
