Saturday Barack Obama resigned his membership from Trinity United Church. I expect the mainstream press will talk about what a brave and difficult decision this was for Obama. If they do, it would be just hogwash. No reasonable person can conclude that Obama's decision was motivated by anything but political expediency.

As I wrote in an earlier posts ( “More on Rev. Wright Not All Wrong or Right” ; “Jeremiah Wright: Not all right or wrong” ), there are things Rev. Wright has espoused concerning which I don’t agree. I don’t agree that Louis Farrakhan merits the kind of lauding he has received from Rev. Wright.
