The Cleveland Browns have waived linebacker Leon Williams. A fourth-round draft pick in 2006, Williams started 12 games over the past three seasons. He made nine starts in 2007, recording 88 tackles and four sacks as the Browns went 10-6 and fell just short of the AFC playoffs.

No longer needed, kicker Billy Cundiff has been waived by the Cleveland Browns. Cundiff filled in while Phil Dawson missed five games with a pulled right calf muscle. Cundiff made all six field-goal tries for the Browns (1-7). Dawson returned for last week's game against Chicago and had his extra point blocked in a 30-6 loss to the Chicago Bears.
