Triple Threat

By Unisports on  From nbcolympics.com
By Lee Ann Gschwind If, for the first time since 1988, an American man is to win Olympic gold, it could be reigning world champion Evan Lysacek . But it might just be Jeremy Abbott . In Spokane, Abbott put together back-to-back near perfect performances to defeat his better-known teammates - Lysacek, as well as fellow 2006 Olympian Johnny Weir - and claim his second straight U.S. title by a commanding margin of 25 points. If Abbott performs two programs in Vancouver like he did in Spokane, he...Read Full Story

Jeremy Abbott is one of my favorite skaters, but it looks like he's had a rough start to his season. (still in old boots, unable to train fully, unable to train the quad plus a SP that has not been well received) How much trouble is he really in?

While it is an annoyance, most are prepared to handle it and I think Jeremy is no different. Even now he has, for the most part, worked out those problems. Who hasn't received his SP well...I thought it has been very well received? I for one LOVE it and it seemed like the judges at NHK liked it too. His only deduction was on a...Read Full Story

http://loopaxles.blogspot.com/search/label/Jeremy%20Abbott But the men really saved the day for me! For the first time this season I looked at a guy and thought, YES! Jeremy Abbott was fantastic. I don't think there was a bit of that tango music (tango's are big this season too!)that he didn't hit. Talk about working the system for every point your worth! A very much deserved win...long time in the making. I was impressed by Carriere as well! I don't think anyone, certainly not me, expected...Read Full Story
