After a slow start to his Saints career due to injury Jeremy Shockey is becoming one of my favorite Saints to watch.  He's running his routs better, developing a good understanding with Drew Brees and demonstrating what a safe pair of hands he can be.  He is now an important weapon in the Saints arsenal and a big time player. Jeremy Shockey highlights what the Saints have been missing at Tight End for too long.   His performance against the Dolphins in particular stood out.  He was able to get open when it mattered and provide the outlet to Drew Brees at a vital ... Ok this has nothing to do with anything, but the New York Giants traded Tight End Jeremy Shockey to the Saints for a couple of draft picks. Good riddance.  As a diehard Jints fan, there was no denying that Shockey had become a cancer in the huddle.  The guy was more concerned about his stats than the team, and took pleasure in brow beating Eli Manning at every turn.  It's no surprise that they went on their amazing run at exactly the time when Shockey went down for the season.  Backup TE Kevin Boss did more than a serviceable job, and it freed up ... METAIRIE, La. - New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey is a 6-foot-5-inch, 251-pound player with tattoos etched along his forearms and a reputation for speaking his mind. He can appreciate an opinion. So when he describes Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Shockey starts with leadership, citing Brees as the player often first to the practice facility. Then Shockey describes his ...

Jeremy Shockey vs. LeBron James: The Saints tight end dropped a strange gauntlet on twitter last night. The uninformed Shockey must have had one too many energy drinks - James was an accomplished high school football player, is perhaps the most freakish physical specimen in NBA (sports?) history, and at 6-foot-8, 265 pounds, he’s taller, [...]

by Ryan WilsonFiled under: NFL, NBA, TwitterNot sure Jeremy Shockey should be the final arbiter of who's fit to play in the NFL and who isn't, but he took to Twitter to explain to all the football simpletons that LeBron James couldn't cut it. Just in case that wasn't obvious from the outset. The thing is, after James made the comments, and Browns head coach Eric Mangini offered a "come on down," some people figured all that was left to do was...

Photograph of Eli Manning by Frank Franklin II/AP The Giants have spent the last three weeks feasting on the dregs of the NFL. Sunday things will get much harder as they head to New Orleans for a battle with the undefeated Saints. The game marks a homecoming for Eli Manning, who grew up in the area, but has never played in the Superdome. It will also be the first meeting between the Giants and their former star, Jeremy Shockey...
