Get the Look - The 'Jersey Shore' Cast has Started Filming in Seaside Heights

(via FameFlynet Pictures)

As a Jersey girl, dressing up for the shore is like second nature.

But for everyone else, the excessive neons, outlandish prints, and short hemlines present a real sartorial challenge.

So, in honor of the Jersey Shore cast filming their sixth season, we figured we'd let you in on how to dress below exit 100.

1. Wear animal prints, and lots of them.

Just like florals on florals are big this season, animal prints upon animal prints upon animal prints are always big in Seaside—especially zebra and leopard. Throw on this Rebbeca Taylor tee ($60) on your way to the beach, and you will get a rawring (get what we did there?) applause from every native beachgoer. Bonus points for carrying an animal print bag too!

2. The lower cut the shirt, the better

Even if you're merely walking on the boardwalk in a baggy tee, your neckline should always allow 75 percent of your cleavage to spill out. And to ensure said cleavage gets the attention it deserves, opt for a neon or bright blue hue, like this American Apparel deep-V ($24).

3. Nothing is too short

Unlike the rest of your Jersey shore essentials, the saying "less is more" actually applies when it comes to shorts. Whether they're cotton or denim: the less fabric, the better. Check out these Urban Outfitters BDG "Cheeky Shorts" ($54), for your next trip down the Garden State Parkway. For further guidance, reference our Underbutt story for style-spiration.

4. Wear Clothing With Obnoxiously Large Sayings On Them

If you really want to look like a seasoned Jersey-goer, you better wear a tank or tee with a blown up saying on it—preferrably one that has a quote from Jersey Shore itself ("Cabs are here!"). Choose a shirt that has simple enough text for people to visibly read, like this Forever 21 tank ($16), with barely any empty space leftover.

With all of that said, go and get your  GTL on!
