OXFORD, Miss. --With the Rebels' season leaning back over to the side of successful, quarterback Jevan Snead found the perfect time to play his best game of the year. The Ole Miss junior completed 14-of-21 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown. The efficiency was superb, and Snead came through when necessary toward the end of the game. Ole Miss held on for a dramatic, 25-23, win over LSU, and Snead was commended for his part in the outcome.

Not sure if Colt McCoy (Texas) has the frame, but he seems like a good fit for a West Coast offense. Jevan Snead (Ole Miss) has been touted by scouts and draftniks, but I haven't seen enough (yet) to get excited by his NFL future. ...

Alex Henderson's 3-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter Saturday night pulled Northern Arizona into a 14-14 tie with Ole Miss. Henderson's scoring run, his second of the night, apparently served as the Rebels' wake-up call. Ole Miss, led by Jevan Snead's two touchdown runs and two TD passes to Shay Hodge, answered the Lumberjacks with 24 unanswered points, pulling away for an easy 38-14 win at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Offense MISSISSIPPI: Texas transfer Jevan Snead runs the show for the Rebels at quarterback and even though he isn't having as good of a season as was predicted for him, he's still very dangerous. Snead has a strong and accurate arm, but has had a knack for making bad decisions this year. As a result, he's thrown 13 interceptions and the Rebels are under .500 in the SEC. There's no doubt though that Snead could have a big game today though. In...

Jevan Snead usually doesn't meet with the media on Tuesday. Of course, in what has been an unusual season already, this Tuesday was predictably atypical. Snead has been "writing" a column for The Sporting News each week this season, and on Tuesday, his column _ as told to Matt Hayes _ made news. Ole Miss' quarterback, who has struggled in losses to South Carolina and Alabama, answered rumors regarding his personal life and sent a message of...

The Ole Miss defense has been spectacular this season defending its own goal line. Now, the unit is also defending the Rebels quarterback. After a rather unexciting 22-3 victory for No. 3 Alabama over No. 20 Ole Miss Saturday, when the UM defense forced five field goals in the Tide's five red zone possessions, the Rebels hunkered down as a team, fought off aggravation and backed their maligned offensive unit - mainly quarterback Jevan Snead.
