Tennessee veteran defensive end Jevon Kearse says he didn't stick around to watch the game against Indianapolis after being a healthy scratch, visiting with family instead. And if deactivated again? "It just depends on how I'm feeling," Kearse said Wednesday. It was an obvious football move for a Tennessee team reeling from a winless start after posting the NFL's best mark at 13-3 in 2008 to replace a veteran whose production is down with a youthful player. Coach Jeff Fisher didn't fine Kearse and insists the issue is over. Teammates declined Wednesday to say how they would feel if scratched 90 minutes before kickoff, ... Read Full Story

McNabb Hurt Again: After throwing two early interceptions, Donovan McNabb got knocked out of the game by a take down from a blitzing Dolphins corner. McNabb sprained his right ankle, almost exactly one year away from when he tore his ACL in the same leg. X-rays were negative, but Donovan sat out the rest of the game. Right now his status for next week is uncertain. Feeley Gets Revenge: A.J. Feeley stepped in for the injured McNabb, and threw the third Eagles interception of the game. He spent the first three years of his career as a backup to Jevon Kearse in Tennessee. For most of the past two-and-a-half seasons, he's been Kearse's backup in Philadelphia. Now, Juqua Thomas replaces Kearse as the starter at left defensive end. Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson made the announcement at his press conference Thursday. "Trent (Cole) is playing at a high caliber, no question about it. J.T. is playing very well. Those two right now they're two of our better ends in the pass rush. It's as simple as that and they're getting more time than (Darren) Howard and Jevon. No secret. J.T. is ... Read Full Story

Titans DE Jevon Kearse isn’t talking about his arrest on drunken driving on Sunday morning, but that’s not stopping coach Jeff Fisher from sharing his feelings on it. “I did speak with Jevon and I can say that clearly the entire organization is disappointed in the incident,” Fisher said. “But that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop what we’re doing. We’re going to continue to do what we’ve done. … We’re going to continue with the seminars and the tapes and the life skills presentations and the discussions that we have.” Kearse, who just came back to the Titans after signing with them this ... The biggest difference between last week's tilt against the 49ers and this week's contest versus the Philadelphia Eagles is the quarterback play. No, not Jay Cutler, although better ball protection for the Bears offense is a key. I'm talking about the difference between Alex Smith and Donovan McNabb. For good QBs with time to throw the ball have picked apart the Bears defense. And McNabb is a much better QB than Smith at this point. To avoid...
