China’s top political advisor Jia Qinglin met with Australian Foreign Minister, Kevin Rudd, on Saturday.
Jia, chairman of the Conference of Chinese People’s Political Consultative (CPPCC) National Committee, which is on an official visit, and expressed his sympathy to the victims of floods and hurricanes that hit the eastern end of Australia last year.
Jia said he was satisfied that the affected areas have been recovering well.
