In an interview with Financial Post , Research In Motion’s co-CEO Jim Balsillie, touched on a few things for RIM’s future. Jim was quoted as saying:
We’ve leapfrogged everyone with what we’re announcing [on Tuesday] and you’re going to see it on display…We built an engine back in the mid-90s that served us incredibly well for 15 years, and in the past couple of years, we’ve had to build the engine of the future while still driving the engine we’ve got.”

Research In Motion’s Jim Balsillie on Tuesday brushed off Steve Jobs’ critique of RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook tablet computer, saying the Apple CEO’s barbs made no sense outside of his company’s “distortion field.”
