Jim Caldwell is an American football coach and was recently named as the replacement for current Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy. Dungy formally announced his retirement in January of 2009 and Caldwell was named his replacement shortly after. He was also the head coach of Wake Forest college from 1993 to 2000 and an assistant coach to a number of different college football programs.

Colts made the transition of power official on Tuesday, formally introducing Jim Caldwell as the club’s new head coach. Jim Caldwell (born January 16, 1955 in Beloit, Wisconsin) is the Head Coach of the National Football League's Indianapolis Colts. He also served as the head coach of Wake Forest from 1993 to 2000. He had a career collegiate record of 26-63. He has served as an assistant coach at Southern Illinois University, Northwestern, Colorado, Louisville, and Penn State.
