The Indianapolis Colts are 14-0. This is a fact. The team has been at least 12-0 seven times during Peyton Manning's career. Only once, have they sealed the deal and won the Super Bowl, the lone title coming in the '06-'07 season. This is a fact. Peyton Manning, regarded as one of, if not the best quarterbacks in the NFL, has led the 2009 squad to comeback after comeback after comeback, nine in total. With this type of "will to win" and lady...

Last week, Colts coach Jim Caldwell said he would play his starters four quarters. This week, he's not making any promises. Judging by Indy's track record, we doubt Peyton Manning makes it past halftime. Perhaps Rex Ryan will send a few exotic blitzes at Manning to try to get one clean hit that scares Caldwell into calling off the dogs. In the past, Manning was replaced by trusty veteran Jim Sorgi. Now the team has rookie Curtis Painter...

As the Colts travel down to Jacksonville for a Thursday night showdown with the playoff-hungry Jaguars, the debate over who should rest and who should play the remaining three games on the schedule will rage on around the NFL. The home win over the Broncos on Sunday, of course, secured home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs for Indianapolis, who's been in this situation twice before (2005 and 2007) under Tony Dungy. But never has...

NEW YORK — Super Bowl-winning coach Tony Dungy called the dearth of minority head coaches in major college football "disgraceful." Dungy became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl in 2007 with the Indianapolis Colts. Now an analyst with NBC's pregame show, Dungy said on the program Sunday night that minority coaches believe they have more opportunity for advancement in the pros than in college. With homefield locked up, the discussion can now truly shift to what the Colts should do the next three games. Prior to last Sunday, it was premature. Now, it makes sense. It also makes sense that Jim Caldwell addressed the subject of this Thursday's game against the Jaguars, and ONLY this Thursday's game against the Jaguars. It keeps with the theme of "one game at a time," which is what Caldwell (and former head coach Tony Dungy) sells to...

Jim Caldwell makes this coaching stuff look easy. Three months into his first season with the Colts, Caldwell still has not lost a game. He's already set an NFL record for rookie head coaches with 11 straight wins, is one win short of tying the NFL's longest winning streak (21), and the comparisons between himself and former coach Tony Dungy are fading with each new achievement.
