Jimi Westbrook

Little Big Town is an American country music vocal group. Founded in 1998, the group has comprised the same four members since its inception: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. The quartet’s musical style relies heavily on four-part vocal harmonies, with all four members alternating as lead singers. Westbrook and Sweet also play rhythm guitar. After a short-lived deal with the Mercury Nashville Records label which produced no singles or albums, Little Big Town released their self-titled debut on Monument Records in 2002. Just announced, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook are expecting their first child together in March of 2010.   The parents are very excited and eager for March to quickly approach.   The new baby will have plenty of playmates come tour time – other band members Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweet have two children together – Daisy Pearl, 2, and Penelopi Jane, 21 months. Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and husband Jimi Westbrook announced on the band’s website yesterday that they are expecting their first child! In the message to their fans the thrilled parents-to-be shared that they are “extremely delighted” and “looking forward to March when the little one is due.” Their little bundle already has a couple close friends waiting in the wings: Bandmates Kimberly Schlapman and Phillip Sweets are parents to daughters Daisy Pearl, 2, and 21-month-old Penelopi Jane.
