Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 21 points and C.J. Miles added 20 as the Utah Jazz snapped a two-game losing streak, defeating Sacramento 96-93 and spoiling Jimmer Fredette's return to the state where "Jimmermania" began.
Fredette had a chance to give the Kings the win with 4.2 seconds left, but launched an air-ball 3-pointer.

When Jimmer Fredette gets into a rhythm on offense, it's fun to watch. But what also stood out besides Fredette's fourth-quarter scoring (13 points) was his defensive activity in the Kings' 86-84 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night at Target Center.

Fredette was also starting to play his best basketball of the season. He had scored in double figures in four of the five previous games and was starting to shoot better from the field. This is the most perplexing thing about his sudden benching.
