NBC has stopped production on its frosh Jimmy Smits drama “Outlaw.” Series starring Smits as a Supreme Court justice who returns to the private sector as a crusading defense attorney will continue to air in the Friday 10 p.m. slot for at least the next few weeks. I have been struggling to get excited about this year’s fall TV schedule.
