Jordin Sparks' family has lived in the Phoenix area for a long time. Her mother Jodi Sparks graduated from Greenway High School in 1987, and her father Phillippi Sparks graduated from Maryvale High School the same year and went on to play football at Arizona State University. Phillippi eventually went on to go pro.
