John Daly and his sweet pants are out of the US PGA Championship (Getty images).
Citing a back injury, John Daly has withdrawn from competition in the US PGA Tournament, after putting up a 78 on Thursday, going six over par.

At the end of 54 holes, Daly was tied for 75th place, after shooting a 71, a 70, and 71 again in the first three rounds.

Some reports stated that Daly, who has long struggled with alcohol, was drinking at tournament parties on Friday evening, and had to be helped out of an afterparty.

Daly birdied the water-lined 16th, the hole where he shot an 11 when the PGA Championship was last held at Hazeltine National Golf Club in 2002. Daly later made a long eagle putt at No. 7 and was 2 over for the tournament, but he made double bogey on his final two holes, including a three-putt on his final hole of Thursday's first round.
