Who was on Frasier? John Mahoney played the role of the elder Martin “Marty” Crane, the father of Kelsey Grammer in the series Frasier. For the role, he has received numerous Emmy and Golden Globe nominations but while in Cheers, he played an inept jingle writer and even had a conversation with Frasier Crane at the bar, whose father would be the role he would later play.
