John Travolta Speaks Out for First Time Since Son's Death

"We've been working very hard every day as a family to heal," he said. "We have our own way of doing it, and it has been helping."

Travolta's wife Kelly Preston added, "We partake in spiritual counseling pretty much daily."

The actor has received tons of support from his pals in Hollywood, who've all been quick to offer their condolences. "You need your friends a lot in times like that," he said. Preston added that the "outpouring of love from, really, worldwide has been extraordinary. It's been our friends, our family, our church."

If mourning Jett wasn't hard enough, the Travoltas have been embroiled in an extortion scandal for months after a senator and a paramedic in the Bahamas tried to extort them for $25 million with information about their son's death. Last month a judge declared a mistrial, and a retrial has already been ordered.
