Johnny Weir -- Figure skater lands Sundance reality show

Johnny Weir will be starrting in an upcoming Sundance eality series, Be Good Johnny Weir.
Figure skater Johnny Weir, known for his outsized antics on and off the ice, will be getting his own half-hour reality show on Sundance, detailing his training for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Besides being one of the bigger personalities in figure skating, Weir has gained notice for denying he was gay, telling a blog "I don't feel the need to express my sexual being because it's not part of my sport and it's private.  I can sleep with whomever I choose and it doesn't affect what I'm doing on the ice, so speculation is speculation."

From a report in Variety detailing the report:
New series featuring U.S. figure skating Olympian Johnny Weir as well as the behind-the-scenes lifestyle choices of fashion models highlighted Sundance Channel's upfront presentation to advertisers Monday.

The half-hour "Be Good Johnny Weir" will follow its subject, his coach, choreographers and hangers-on as they ready for the 2010 Winter Games. Sundance has ordered eight episodes of the series, which is produced by Endemol's Original Media.
