Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) sports a power pack on his chest that looks similar to the one used by Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). “The technologies are definitely related, and that’s part of the core theme of the film,” says director Jon Favreau. DIRECTOR Jon Favreau says superhero sequel Iron Man 2, which began filming three weeks ago and opens on May 7, 2010, will explore the dual identity of the armoured crimefighter. DIRECTOR Jon Favreau says the sequel to this summer's superhero blockbuster Iron Man will feature the characters Mandarin and War Machine and could be shot in IMAX, possibly using 3D technology.
