IF IT WEREN'T for Jonathan Rhys Meyers' mastery of crazy eyes, "The Tudors" wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable.
The Showtime drama about legendary English ruler Henry VIII has benefited greatly from Meyers' super-intense portrayal (even though Meyers is Irish and Henry, you know, wasn't) of the power-hungry, ultra-lusty king, and although the steamy soap opera takes a lot of liberties with its historical fiction genre, those differences pay off...
