He is the son of the actor James Brolin and has been married to the actress Diane Lane since August 14, 2004. He was once engaged to actress Minnie Driver. Brolin has two children, Trevor Mansur and Eden from a previous marriage to actress Alice Adair, who is sometimes credited as Deborah Adair. Trevor is currently a student at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
