New Memphis coach Josh Pastner hopes to be in Memphis for a long time and sees the program as a place where a coach can "win it all." The 31-year-old Pastner was introduced by Memphis officials on Tuesday as the successor to John Calipari, who left after nine years to accept the Kentucky coaching job. Pastner will earn $4.4 million over the next five years under his contract. As soon as Coach John Calipari left Memphis this past March to join the Kentucky Wildcats, many have instantly made Tulsa the favorite to win Conference USA regular season and post season tournament in the 2009-10 season. The Tigers also lost four players to graduation and the NBA. New Memphis head coach Josh Pastner. After weeks of speculation, Memphis has pulled the trigger on their new head coach, promoting assisant coach Josh Pastner to the position. The 31-year-old Pastner was an assistant coach for one year at Memphis, under recently departed head coach John Calipari.
