Filed under: Colts , AFC South , Indianapolis NFL Offseason Roadmap is a series focused on the needs of NFL teams as they begin the offseason. Just when you thought the Colts had stopped choking in January, they serve up a buffet of dropped passes and missed opportunities against the Chargers. Marvin Harrison’s knee injury (and the Colts’ handling of it ) clearly impacted this usually potent offense during the season and again in the postseason . However, this team still won the tough AFC South and got a first-round bye. So what really needs addressing this offseason? 1. Defensive line. Losing both Dwight ... Read Full Story

Filed under: Colts , AFC South , NFL Injuries , Indianapolis Players get injured. It’s a fact of life in the NFL. You make the best of it and do your best to keep winning. The Indianapolis Colts seem to have done just that, overcoming injuries to a lot of key players to sit at 10-2 and have a clear shot at another division title and first-round bye in the playoffs. Filed under: Colts , Panthers , Charlotte , Indianapolis , Carolina ESPNews is reporting that Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison will miss Sunday’s game against the Panthers with a knee injury. Jim Caldwell will take over for Dungy and I expect this to be about as flawless a head coaching change as you will ever see. Caldwell began working with Dungy in 2001 at Tampa Bay and has served as an assistant for the Colts for the last seven years. Indy did not win the AFC South in 2008 despite a 12-4 record, but it als Read Full Story

But the contribution of the youngest player on the Colts roster has also been vital to the Colts success. I am, of course, referring to Jerraud Powers, the rookie cornerback taken from Auburn in the 3rd round of the 2009 draft. Before...
