Shocker not shocker!

Disney reportedly revealed Jude Law's oh-so mysterious identity in the upcoming and highly-anticipated MCU feature film Captain Marvel. As expected, it is exactly what every Marvel fan assumed it to be. According to multiple outlets like CinemaBlend and The Wrap, an image released by Disney on Thursday laid out a forthright description: "Jude Law as Mar-Vell, the leader of Starforce." Interestingly, the photo's caption has now been edited and no longer features the name Mar-Vell in it. Instead, the photo simply labels Law as "the leader of Starforce."

Until recently, Law's character was believed to be a mentor-type to Brie Larson's Carol Danvers (a.k.a. Captain Marvel). Of course, comic book fans already anticipated this mentor figure to be none other than Mar-Vell, so it is confusing why Disney hasn't officially confirmed this news.

Mar-Vell is a celebrated Kree warrior who comes to Earth to determine if humanity poses a threat to the Kree. To dispatch this information and blend in with humans, he takes on the identity of a dead scientist named Walter Lawson. During his time on Earth, Mar-Vell forms an intimate bond with Carol Danvers. Their unexpected romantic connection certainly doesn't sit well with Mar-Vell's alien girlfriend, Una. As the leader of Starforce, a group of warriors who protect the Kree from outside threats, this development further complicates things. Guess, we'll have to wait to see how this all plays out on the big screen.
