If you are interested in the life of a professional fire performer the carry on. The first thing you should know is that the term fire eaters is usually a generic term used to describe fire eaters, fire jugglers, fire breathers and all types of fire performers. Fire eating is the practise of extinguishing flaming torches in your mouth...............at no time does anyone ever actually eat the fire, trust me on this one!

One thing I very often get asked is do I ever burn myself, the short answer is Yes. My job involves playing around with fire and I sometimes get burnt however I get bruises and bust lips much more often.
