Andre Ethier had his first three-homer game and drove in a career-high six runs to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Friday night. Ethier gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead in the second, driving a 1-1 pitch from Jason Vargas to center field after Casey Blake led off with a double and James Loney singled. The Boston Red Sox have activated shortstop Julio Lugo, who's been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in spring training. To make room for Lugo, the Red Sox announced Monday that right-hander Michael Bowden was being returned to Triple-A Pawtucket. Lugo was injured in a March 13 exhibition game against the New York Yankees. He underwent arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and was placed on the 15-day disabled list prior to the regular season.
