An amazing event took place with the 8th Annual Heroes in The Struggle Gala in L.A. at the Walt Disney Concert Hall last night. Black Men honored eight remarkable Black women who are pioneers for their continuous commitment along side the Black AIDS Institute. This Institute is a leading organization that is dedicated to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Black communities. Child star, Jurnee Smollett had the great opportunity of being whisked away by the democratic party during the US elections. She headed to Las Vegas to host the King Committe, and to encourage people to vote. Unbeknown to her, she was to introduce Barack Obama which was an electrifying experience, she told t5m.
