Week 3 Preview: Oakland at Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills are looking to make it three in a row Sunday as they play host to the Oakland Raiders at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Buffalo has started the season with impressive wins over the Seahawks and Jaguars, while the Raiders come in 1-1 after taking apart the Chiefs in KC on Sunday 23-8.

The storyline is rather simple when it comes to the Raiders - can they run the ball on the tough Bills front line? Last week between three runners, Justin Fargas, Darren McFadden and Michael Bush, the Raiders ran for an even 300 yards. Fargas and McFadden are both not 100 percent, but likely at least McFadden will be ready to go for Sunday.

The Bills rallied from down 16-10 to top the Jags. Trent Edwards was great in the last quarter, as he was able to get the team down the field for a TD to rookie James Hardy, then led them on a field goal drive to ice the game. Edwards is showing great maturity as a second-year QB, and his play against a Raiders D that played much better Sunday will be key.

Buffalo is 2-0 for the first time since 2003, and could be 4-0 if they win here and then have what appears to be an easy game next week in St.Louis. The Raiders want to keep rolling after running over KC. They got a good game from QB JaMarcus Russell, but the running game and defense will be their keys to pulling off the big road win.

The Bills have the better special teams, and Edwards and the offense is playing at a high level right now. Look for the Bills to do enough vs a game Raiders team to move to 3-0.
