Giants officials said early in the second half that McKenzie would not return to the game. The team did not specify which leg was injured, but it appeared to be his right one. But a man who has now played for both insists the coaching apple didn’t fall far from the mentor’s tree. Will Beatty is a left tackle who spent five years at UConn playing for Edsall. LITTLE FALLS, N.J. (AP)— New York Giants offensive tackle Kareem McKenzie was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop Thursday night. McKenzie was stopped after he cut through a gas station lot at about 9:30 p.m., said Little Falls police Lt. Salvatore Calafiore. A Breathalyzer test found McKenzie’s blood-alcohol level was above New Jersey’s legal limit of 0.08. He was taken to police headquarters and released later that night, Calafiore said.
