Essence magazine interviewed Karith Foster, talk show personality Imus’ co-host and asked about how her parents and friends felt when she landed the job. Foster says her parents weren’t thrilled, friends were “okay", but had a lot of questions. They also asked her about being called a sellout: “ Essence.com : Okay, last question. Someone is going to call you a sellout. What do you have to say about that? K.F .: Absolutely. I weighed that and thought about that. What outweighed that is when I thought about what good I can do. According to HuffingtonPost.com: “Karith Foster, a Harlem resident who grew up outside Dallas, was brought on by Imus to ease tension stirred up by his racist comment about the Rutgers women's basketball team, which got him booted in April, sources said.” I have never heard of her before. Tony Powell--I don't know him either. Oh well, best wishes Ms. Foster and Mr. Powell. Move over Robin Quivers. Saying he had “learned his lesson,” Don Imus returned to the airwaves Monday eight months after he was fired for a racially charged remark about the Rutgers women’s basketball team, introducing a new cast that included two black comedians. … While Imus pledged to use his new show to talk about race relations, he added: “Other than that, not much has changed. Dick Cheney is still a war criminal, Hillary Clinton is still Satan and I’m back on the radio.” For a more in-depth report, see The NYTimes ‘A Chastened Imus Returns to Radio.’   Read Full Story

On Fox Business' Don Imus in the Morning today, Fox News contributor Bo Dietl who, last I checked, is an expert in crime, not health care, may have committed a crime himself as he ranted on the air about "this Medicare Bill" and "small businesses are going out." Complaining that "this Medicare and Medicaid Bill - that's a bunch of baloney," Dietl added, "And this Reid, he needs to be slapped in the face... knock those glasses off his face." So...

I've decided if Radio has a cockroach, his name is Don Imus. Geeez....." Imus has been a radio icon for decades and every time they said he was done, they were wrong. Read More. (Opinion) (Photo Credit...

As Don Imus' first air date at Fox Business Network approaches, NY Oberver's Felix Gillette profiles how Imus and his previous network affiliation might change the dynamic of the time slot, saying that FBN is "unleashing Don Imus to compete against NBC, the media company that shunned him in his time of crisis." Ratings numbers for Don Imus' first week at Fox Business Network are out. "Imus in the Morning" averaged 148,000 Total Viewers in the 6-9amET timeslot for the week of October 5. That's good enough to beat CNBC's 'Squawk Box,' which averaged 145,000 Total Viewers. Don Imus is back on TV. (Yes, he was on RFD-TV, but even he says his move to Fox Business Network is, "the difference between being on television and being on an Etch A Sketch.") Imus talked with WaPo's Howard Kurtz about joining a team that includes Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, even though his politics aren't necessarily there's.
