It’s Time the Cardinals Extend Karlos Dansby
Filed under: AZ Cardinals, NFC West, Phoenix
Like Adrian Wilson last year, linebacker Karlos Dansby is putting together a season that will finally get him recognized outside of Arizona.
The 6-4 former safety out of Auburn (2004) trotted onto the field yesterday after missing two games with a knee injury, and promptly returned to form. Without any signs of rust, Dansby completely took over the game, forcing a total of three turnovers which led to 10 points and the Cardinals fourth win of the season.
“He had a game that can definitely take him over the top, if you know what I mean,” said Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson.
Dansby, who is due to become a free agent next spring, should be expecting a healthy extension from the Cardinals in the very near future.
Although the Bidwill’s are generally known as “cheap owners,” there is no doubt they want to hang onto Dansby and at any cost. Players like Dansby, Wilson Bertrand Berry and Darnell Dockett and the cornerstones of the defensive unit, and will eventually help lead Arizona to the promise land.
