Karrine Steffans (born August 24, 1978) is a hip hop music video model and actress. She also wrote a controversial book about her life in the hip hop world, titled "Confessions of a Video Vixen." Karrine Steffans is often referred to as Superhead or Superhead Steffans or Karrine Superhead Steffans.

In the book, Steffans reveals having an unstable childhood and being raped and abused as leading her into the chaotic world of a hip-hop model and video girl.
Her mother is of African-American, Danish and Puerto Rican heritage from St. Thomas in the U.S Virgin Islands and her father is African American from New York. Growing up, she was bounced around between relatives in the Caribbean, Miami and New York City.
The memoir describes a number of encounters in which she traded oral sex for access to prominent roles in rap music videos. Her sexual encounters with rap stars led to being given the nickname Superhead.
She starred in a porn film with porn star Mr. Marcus in which she was credited as "Honey". The porn scene showed why she got the moniker of "Superhead", as she is seen on the film performing a very rapid form of oral sex to Mr. Marcus. Listed among her infamous liaisons are rappers Ja Rule, Jay-Z, Xzibit, singer Usher, producer Irv Gotti, DMX, Dr. Dre, Lil Skeeter, Fred Durst, basketball star Shaquille O'Neal, and mogul Sean Combs.
Though much of the book is filled with living the high-life in fabulous mansions and expensive restaurants, Steffans does not shy away from describing her fate once she has stepped away from the video girl scene, losing her home and cars.
She has often stated that the book is intended as a cautionary tale, especially women involved in the hip-hop music industry. Steffans is forthright in describing the role alcohol and drug abuse played in her promiscuity. Since publishing her memoir, she has appeared on several panels and speaking engagements, as well as founding a girls club to give young women a safe place to go.
