Michael John Anderson , the man who killed 24-year-old Katherine Olson after she answered his ad for babysitting services on Craigslist, was sentenced to life in jail. Katherine Olson, 24, was murdered on October 25, 2007 in a Minneapolis suburb after answering a baby sitting ad on Craigslist. The 24 year old was lured to her death by then 19 year old Michael John Anderson.Katherine was shot in the back with a .357 Magnum at Anderson’s Savage, Minnesota residence. While Craigslist is an invaluable resource in a lot of ways, there has been a rash of violent crimes recently surrounding the free site. On April 1, 2009, 20-year-old Michael John Anderson was given life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering 24-year-old Katherine Ann Olson.
