The short track speed skater is seen by many as the United States' best hope for ending their long time away from the podium in women's short track skating.

Look for her first this Saturday, February 13, as she competes in the opening heats of the Olympic Ladies' 500 m Short Track. However, its not the relatively short springs of the 500 where Reutter shines -- she's only ranked No. 8 in the world in the event.

Instead, stay tuned for Febuary 26, when Reutter will almost assuredly be skating in the Short  Ladies' 1000 m Finals. Reutter has already won gold in the 1000 m at the World Cup this season, so you can expect her to absolutely fly.

If she manages to medal, she will be the first American woman to take home some hardware since Cathy Turner, who won bronze in the 500 at the 1994 Winter Games in Lillehammer.
