Carlos Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko each scored 23 points, and the Utah Jazz won in New York for the first time in more than five years by beating the Knicks 95-93 on Monday night. Mehmet Okur had the go-ahead basket with 1:16 to play and finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, who opened a difficult four-game road trip by winning at Madison Square Garden for the first time since Feb. 20, 2004. Deron Williams was limited to five points but had 16 assists. Utah, which earned its first road victory of the season, visits Boston next and wraps up the ... Read Full Story

If you follow hoops then you have probably heard rumors for about 2 months now(!!!) that the Boston Celtics were considering signing Stephon Marbury if his contract was ever bought out by the Knicks.  It has finally happened and Marbury should be signed by the Celtics as early as Friday .  Nice! For some reason, Marbury did not see eye to eye with new Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni or GM Donnie Walsh so he chose to sit the entire season and has not played in an NBA game in over a year.  Even before these new guys came on board, Marbury was already starting ... One of my all time favorite quotes has been attributed to former NBA star Michael Ray Richardson. Michael Ray was blessed with tremendous athletic skills. However he was also cursed with inner demons that negated his gifts, short circuiting his NBA career. Michael Ray was playing for a club one season that was coming apart at the seams. A reporter asked Richardson what was wrong with his team to which Michael Ray responded “The ship be sinking.” The reporter asked the player how far it could sink? Richardson looked the reporter in the eye and said “Sky’s the limit!” Most likely if you asked ... Read Full Story

Assuming the rumours are true , by the time you read this, Stephon Marbury could be a Celtic. We decided to just go with it and point out that the signing would reunite old friends, Marbury and Kevin Garnett. How will the second time around go for these ballers, who once had fans of the Timberwolves dreaming of NBA glory? Well we figure it will play out like this. Yep that pretty much does it. Hopefully for Celtics fans, retro is in. More Stephon Photoshopury after the jump. Read Full Story

There has to be something in Madison Square Garden that has a toxic effect on formerly respected NBA personnel. Maybe it’s Radon, but what ever it is it seems to take hold quickly and completely, making the victim an incompetent version of what he once was. Dave Checketts was it’s victim a man who came into run the New York Knickerbockers with a pretty good reputation, and resume. He was fired a few years later, the team in shambles, his reputation in tatters. Larry Brown has felt it’s wrath. Whether you love the “ Nomad of the NBA ” or despise him you have ... Read Full Story

by Tom ZillerFiled under: Knicks, NBA FansESPN's Chris Sheridan reports on the world's first non-uStream Stephon Marbury sighting of the NBA season. It came at Madison Square Garden, where Knicks security had to ask a paid-in-full Starbury to go to his seat. Marbury had purchased a ticket in row A (that's the second row) for Saturday night's Knicks home opener against the Sixers. The only problem was that Marbury instead tried to sit in row AA...

I'm no genius, but it seems to me that Marbury isn't a huge fan of Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni. In a tweet one would suspect were the rantings of a clinically insane individual, Marbury calls the coach "DPHONY." Nice. [SimonOnSports]

Stephon Marbury is a man of his word. It’s been almost two weeks since he said he’d be at the Knicks home opener and sure enough he was there. And so was his video camera. Marbury claims to be sitting out the NBA season to work on business ventures. So far he’s only been recording himself [...] Related posts:Video: Stephon Marbury Post Release Interview Stephon Marbury is free at last from the New York...Stephon Marbury And Amazon Team Up To...

Stephon Marbury seems to be doing all the things necessary to land back in the NBA next season. He’s showing up at a Knicks game and sitting in the wrong seats, and making more shirtless videos. This time around there’s no crying or singing.. Just Starbury chillin’ in an Optimus Prime mask. So now Marbury is [...]

This decade in New York Knicks basketball has been dreadful at best. Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing is long gone and striving to become a head coach. Their lockout Finals run of 1999 has lost its luster. The team was ripped to shreds thanks to Isiah Thomas and New York's own Stephon Marbury. The Knicks haven't had a winning season in nine years. The only constant positive in recent years has been fan favorite David Lee. Despite all of the...

The New York Knicks haven't been to the playoffs since 2004 and they haven't been past the first round in a decade. Eight successive seasons have produced losing records, and the 2009-10 campaign is no different, right? The Knicks won't win 40 games. They won't play .500 basketball. They won't pay Stephon Marbury $20 million to whine like a baby. Things are changing in New York. The Knicks will threaten for the eighth playoff spot in the east...

You might think nothing would frighten Stephon Marbury more than being an unemployed basketball player. On the contrary. Thursday night, the former Knick drove to Blood Manor, the haunted house on West 27th Street, and sat outside in his Ford Escalade for half an hour, signing autographs, chatting and shaking hands with dozens of people [...]

Starbury marbury testified in the Anucha Browne Sanders trial in September 2007 that he "got together" with a Knicks intern named Kathleen Decker in April 2005.  They were in the parking lot of a strip club.

Kathleen Decker later testified that she did had sex with Starbury in the back of his truck.  The now famous pick up line that he used was: "Are you going to get in the truck?"
