Kathy Ireland Talks About Abortion

I had the pleasure of watching Huckabee interview Kathy Ireland on his show recently. To refresh your memory, Kathy was a super model who started her own line of clothing with just one pair of socks. She’s now a very wealthy woman as women flock to purchase the latest fashions from Kathy Ireland’s clothing line.

Mike Huckabee asked how she came to Christ, and then asked the really sensitive question: “You used to be profoundly pro-choice, and now you’re profoundly pro-life. What happened to make you change your view?”

Her answer was the most intelligent answer I have heard from anyone. She said she began to feel she was “on the fence” about the issue, so she dove into medical books, soaked up the scientific research and saw, for herself, the scientific evidence that life began at conception. She said the evidence showed at the moment of conception the dna is there, the finger prints are there, and the genetic blue print has already been determined. That made her think.

She called Planned Parenthood and asked for their best explanation of why a fetus was not a human being yet. The answer she got was, basically, the fetus was just a clump of cells, and at “some point” it became a human being. That answer did not satisfy this woman who has always stood up for women’s rights.

She thought about it and realized we are all clumps of cells! Those unborn babies look exactly like they’re supposed to look at that stage. They don’t look like a baby, the same way a baby doesn’t look like an adult human being! No, they look exactly as a human being is supposed to look at that stage.

The scientific evidence showed her that according to the law of bio genesis, all life comes from pre-existing life and each species reproduces after its own kind. A baby doesn’t start out as one species and suddenly become another one along the way.

Also, she pointed out that approximately 50% of those babies are males with penises. Mothers do not have penises! So while the male child is residing in her body, it is not a part of her body. It is a separate human being.

She went on to say abortion always has at least two victims: the child and the mother. She cautioned Christians not to condemn mothers who have had abortions, for then we turn them off to Christianity.
