Zero Foxx Given: Jamie Foxx Is Not Here for Your Katie Holmes Questions
During a recent ESPN interview, the actor walked off stage after being asked about his love life.
Jamie Foxx is not interested in discussing his love life on camera, and during a recent interview, one ESPN anchor learned that the hard way.
During a live appearance on ESPN's SportsCenter on Friday, Foxx was prepared to chat about the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Unfortunately, the interview was cut short when anchor Michael Smith tried to get sly.
"I know you prepared [for the game] because I saw pictures," Smith said. "Did you and Katie Holmes play basketball for Valentine's Day? Like some real Love and Basketball?"
Foxx hardly skipped a beat before he slipped off his earphones and strutted off stage.
"He ready to go," Smith said when he realized Foxx was out. "He ready to hoop."
While rumors about Foxx and Holmes' romance have circulated since 2013, the two have never publicly confirmed their relationship. But in the summer of 2016, Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Claudia Jordan, accidentally spilled details on a podcast called Allegedly.
"[He's a] good friend of mine," Jordan said of Foxx, with whom she co-starred on the actor's comedy radio show The Foxxhole. "Never [hooked up with him]."
She then segued into his dating life with Holmes:
"He is very happy with her. I like that he seems very happy."
Jordan eventually backtracked, telling ET she had "no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all."
"I've never seen them together, he's never told me he's dating her," she said.
Regardless, in September 2017, the couple was seen holding hands while out in Malibu.
The drama seemed to be exactly what Foxx needed to get his game on. His team, the Clippers, ultimately beat the Lakers 75-66. Other celeb players included Michael B. Jordan, Nick Cannon, Drew Scott, and Justin Bieber.
