They have both have ties to “Run Devil, Run.”
Before everyone gets all anxious there’s a few things you must need to know:
SM Entertainment bought the legal rights to the song so there’s no plagiarism issue or any legal repercussions. Ke$ha had recorded a guide version* before her debut, due to her close relationships with the composers but, it was never intended for an actual single release.The guided version was, unfortunately leaked onto Youtube and action was taken to delete them, but some can be still found.
With all this said and done, SNSD is still considered the official artist of the song, “Run Devil Run”. You can check out both tracks below.
