The Keating 5 are the five U.S. Senators implicated as cooperating with Charles Keating, a savings and loan banker who was convicted of fraud, conspiracy and racketeering following a scandal in the late 1980s. The senators were Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI).
