Boudia wins men's 10 meter at Winter Nationals KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - David Boudia has won the men's 10-meter competition, while Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnston have won the women's synchronized 3-meter title in closing out the USA Diving Winter National Championships.
She did not advance out of the preliminaries in the individual springboard, but she and 22-year-old former Purdue diver Erin Mertz did manage to finish a respectable fourth in the synchronized Thursday behind winners Kelci Bryant and Abby Johnston.
Of the 14 athletes representing USA Diving at the 2012 FINA World Cup, six are from Big Ten schools: Indiana's Amy Cozad, Laura Ryan and Christina Loukas; Kelci Bryant of Minnesota; Katie Bell of Ohio State and Boudia.
Ex-Gophers diver Kelci Bryant, partnered with Abby Johnston, won the women's synchronized 3-meter title at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., and qualified for the FINA World Cup.
