War Of The Jones Continue
Just when you thought there was a small chance Nas and Kelis were actually going to reconcile, Nas is determined to block financial support for Kelis. Nas and Kelis have been seen together a couple of times in the past month, however it appears the divorce is moving forward.
According to TMZ.com, Nas lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan filed court papers Monday (Nov 2), seeking to block Kelis request for more than $70,000 a month spousal support.
In a previous order from the court, Nas was ordered to pay Kelis $44,000 in child support payment. Kelis’ attorney, Laura Wasser filed a motion to increase the original amount by $72,728 monthly in August 2009.

After Nas claimed he was not as rich as Kelis thought, a forensic accountant who determined he brings in about $240,000 monthly.
Besides Kelis request for child support ($17,225), spousal support ($72,728), back child support ($29,522) and retro support ($281,571).
At this point I’m not sure Nas has that kind of money, since Uncle Sam (IRS) wants him to pay up. Last month, TMZ revealed Nas owes about $2,584,206.31 in unpaid taxes from 2006 and 2007.
Wonder who’s going to get paid first?
