Quarterback Kellen Clemens is making his first start for the New York Jets in two years, filling in for injured rookie Mark Sanchez against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sanchez sprained his right knee during a victory over Buffalo last week. The Bucs are playing without linebacker Geno Hayes, who has a sore hamstring and was replaced by Matt McCoy. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was escorted to the locker room after hurting his right knee early in the third quarter against Buffalo. Sanchez appeared to be hurt when he dived head first to end an 8-yard run on New York's second possession of the second half on Thursday night. 1. Obviously the big news of the day is that Kellen Clemens is going to start this Sunday against Tampa Bay. Sanchez didn’t practice today and Rex Ryan announced the decision at his press conference today. Apparently, Sanchez is angry with the decision but in reality this is the right move for the long run.
