Kelly Preston is quietly returning to work. She is playing the role of Miley Cyrus’s mother in the film, The Last Song. This is Preston’s first film since the death of her son, Jett Travolta in January. Greg Kinnear is also in the cast, playing an estranged father. Preston will also be seen this November in Old Dogs with Matt Dillon and Robin Williams. It’s good to see her back at work. John Travolta 's teenage son, Jett, died in the Bahamas after falling ill and hitting his head at his family's vacation home, police said Friday. A house caretaker found Jett, 16, unconscious in a bathroom late Friday morning. One of the suspects, ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne, was detained on Friday.
