The long anticipated signing of one of the three veteran defensive backs (Ken Hamlin, Walt Harris, Ken Lucas) that participated in Ravens mini-camp on a tryout basis, is in the books . Adam Schefter of ESPN announced Hamlin's signing on his twitter page. According to Schefter, the deal is one season long. Former Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin has signed a one-year deal to back up Ravens safety Ed Reed. Hamlin signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in 2007 and parlayed that into a long-term deal worth $39 million the next year. Dallas Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin will be out for a significant amount of time after suffering a high ankle sprain in Sunday’s 17-7 loss against the Green Bay Packers. Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said Hamlin’s injury will sideline him 3-4 weeks. Hamlin being out for about a month is a significant loss to the Cowboys secondary, especially coming down the home stretch of this 2009 season.
